The designs behind the bands

Keffiyeh
The black-and-white keffiyeh was worn across the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula as everyday headwear, and became a worldwide symbol of Palestinian identity.
On the scarf, its mesh of diamonds, fishnet and parallel stripes has roots in old weaving traditions.
Apple Watch: printed on soft silicone. WHOOP: printed on breathable woven nylon.
Also spelled kufiya, kuffiyeh, kaffiyeh.

Black Keffiyeh
The same keffiyeh mesh, inverted: white lines on black.
Two expressions of the same heritage, and the natural pair for the classic keffiyeh.
Apple Watch: printed on soft silicone. WHOOP: printed on breathable woven nylon.

Olive Keffiyeh
Olive is the colour of the olive tree, one of the most enduring symbols of Palestinian land.
The keffiyeh mesh in olive green, tone on tone.
Apple Watch: engraved on soft silicone, so the pattern reads as texture rather than contrast. WHOOP: printed on breathable woven nylon.

Tatreez
Tatreez is Palestinian cross-stitch, sewn by women into thobes for generations, with colours and motifs that differed from town to town.
The eight-pointed star had different local names in the early twentieth century: "crushed sugar" in Bethlehem, "stars" in Yaffa, "moons" in Ramallah, "roses" in Gaza.
Apple Watch: printed on soft silicone. WHOOP: printed on breathable woven nylon.

Ceramics
The blue-and-white floral ceramics of al-Khalil, also called Hebron.
They are painted by hand in the city's workshops.
Printed on soft silicone.
